Orr v. Ammar Razzak

$8.5 million verdict in a medical malpractice case in east TN. It was the largest verdict in the history of Sevier County and the largest judgment on jury verdict in a medical malpractice case in TN when it was entered. The defendants never offered anything before the verdict. I think this is important because when you settle a case, you are convincing the other side that you are correct about the value of the claim. In the Orr case, the defendant and his carrier were convinced that they did nothing wrong and that the case had zero value and we were able to convince 12 people (all 12 unanimously) that we were right and they were wrong and to the tune of $8.5 million!)

Starnes v. Paul Tanner

$3.75 million dollar verdict in a medical malpractice case. This is the largest jury verdict in the history of Tipton County for any type of case and was again, a no offer case.

Dyson v. Henley

$11 million verdict in sexual assault case that includes an award of $10,000,000 in punitive damages.
