Marc E. Reisman focuses his practice in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death and civil rights law. Marc also practices family law, representing clients in complex matters involving matrimonial and child related issues. He oversees the firm’s appellate practice, protecting the firm’s judgments and verdicts obtained on behalf of its clients.

Upon graduation from law school, with honors, Marc had the privilege of working as a Judicial Law Clerk for Tennessee’s Appellate Courts. First he worked for the Honorable Alan E. Highers on the Tennessee Court of Appeals and following that he served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Paul G. Summers on the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals.

He is on the Board of Directors of the Memphis Bar Association and is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association and has served on the American Inns of Court. Marc is active in the local Bar Association, currently serving as the Chair of the Legal Fee Dispute Committee and formerly serving as Chair of the Family Law Section. He has also been a member of various other committees of the Bar Association including the Alternative Dispute Resolution, Judicial Evaluation, and Litigation committees. Marc Serves as a volunteer mediator for Mediation and Restitution/Reconciliation Services (MARRS) and provides pro bono legal services as a volunteer for the Community Legal Center and Memphis Area Legal Services. Additionally, Marc enjoys regularly volunteering as “Attorney of the Day” at the Shelby County Courthouse, which is a pro bono legal service offered to the community.

Marc is married to Jan and has two children. He is on the Board of Trustees for his synagogue and is on the Board of Directors for Plough Towers, a government assisted residential community for the elderly and mobility impaired.
